OVER THE ROAD PROGRAMOur Over The Road fleet provides great opportunities for solo drivers want to run big miles east of the Rockies within a 38 state network. Below are details about our Over The Road program.
DRIVER PAY: Solos averaged $55,764 in 2008.
SAFETY BONUS: $.02 per mile on all paid miles

HOLIDAY PAY: $50 per day

HOME TIME: 1 day for every week out

TEAM XL LONG HAUL
DRY VAN & TEMP CONTROLThe majority of our Team XL fleet provides opportunities for a team of two drivers to run Dry Van long haul loads cross-country. Typically, we haul freight from the West Coast to the Midwest, Southeast, and Eastern U.S. and vice versa for customers who require shortened transit times versus other modes of transport.
We encourage drivers to apply who want to experience a lifestyle on the open road with few stops. We can either pair you with another team driver, or with an appropriately qualified family member or friend with a CDL.

COVENANT DRIVER REQUIREMENTS Following are standards that must be met to become a driver at Covenant Transport.
- 6 months verifiable interstate tractor trailer driving within last 12 months CDL experience
- Valid CDL-A license
- Must be 21 yrsof age
- Must have HazMat endorsement
- Verifiable employment for past 3 yrs
- No more than 3 moving violations in past 3 yrs(no reckless driving in past 3 yrs)
- No more than 1 preventable accident in motor vehicle in last 3 yrs
- No DUI or drug/alcohol-related motor vehicle incidents in past 5 yrs(not more than one total allowed)
- No drug/violent felony convictions within past 10 yrs. No current parole or arrest warrants
- Must pass drug test and DOT/Covenant physical and meet DOT driving standards
STUDENT DRIVERS & RECENT GRADUATESCovenant is the best place for school graduates to start their careers. Our program gets you out on the road quickly, safely, and profitably. We offer tuition reimbursement for graduates of accredited driving schools upon application and acceptance of a job offer to drive for Covenant Transport.
Covenant has multiple locations around the country from which you can choose to attend your orientation class. We offer 3 free meals a day, free hotel accomodations, and transportation to orientation for recent graduates. Once you complete our 3 day orientation program, you start earning money while you train.
Covenant offers an excellent training program upon completion of our Orientation classes where you are paired with a certified experienced trainer with the goal of honing your driving skills and safety training on live loads. Below are details about our Recent Graduate program.
VACATION PAY: $500 per week
HOLIDAY PAY: $50 per day
(7 holidays per year)
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT: $125 paid monthly, up to $6,000
(must be continually employed (driving truck) to qualify)
HOME TIME: 1 day for every 7 days out; minimum dispatch 21 days.
FREIGHT TYPE: Mostly drop & hook, no touch.

COVENANT STUDENT DRIVER & RECENT GRADUATES REQUIREMENTS Following are standards that must be met to become a driver at Covenant Transport.
